My new book, Wisconsin Riffs:  Jazz Profiles from the Heartland, is due to be released by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press in April 2018.  This site will contain announcements about book release events, as well as being the home for the discographies that go with the chapters of that book.

I am pleased to announce one event now.  Sponsored by Boswell Book Company of Milwaukee, there will be an event at the Jazz Estate in Milwaukee, 2423 N. Murray Ave. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 7 pm.  Not only will I be speaking about the book (copies will be available that night), but even better, the Manty Ellis Trio, with Eric Schoor and Jeff Hamann, will be playing at the club that night as part of the festivities.
